Its not pretty, but it is, for the most part, functional. I'm talking about the new Backstage Hobbies & Games Magic: The Gathering Database!
The Search Text function doesn't work, so right now it just retrieves sets from the database, but it is browsable and you can see what I have if you know what you're looking for. Additional functionality, and sets, are slowly being added. Right now, I have Revised, a bit of 4th edition, Mirage, Visions, Weatherlight, and Tempest in the system. Still working on getting the Rares listed in there, I have to decide how I'm bindering a number of them, but the basis is there! Check it out Here ![]() |

I'm just going to make some suggestions, yes I know it's beta, but I will anyway. Maybe later add a linking system to someplace like magiccards.info, forums/shops use it to link to a cards image, that way we can find out what a card does. Also, I don't know if it was intentional but the circles names have been shortened such as green to gre, this may screw up searching later on, it may be to keep it on one line, I don't know. Also i don't know if your data is already on your computer but I'm sure I can follow your code if you'd like me to do a set or two, the years wrapping up so i have a little bit more free time.
Also: for deck database, if you give me a list of what decks you want descriptions for, I'll get them done. Ya, my old avy was slowing the boards down... |

A) Linking is coming forthwidth. It'd actually be pop-up ala Gatherer and contain all of the information on the card as well as our information, such as ranking, keywords, etc.
B) The truncation (Green to "Gre")was a result of when I created the tables & uploaded the data. It has since been modified in the table (shoulda remembered: the CoPs have some of the longest names in Magic) and I'm correcting it as I find the cards. C) The quantities and what not are being manually checked against what I have, so while thanks for the offer it is quite impossible to do. I started out with the database Nikki had created, counts and all, but between sales since she created the database and a huge, almost 10k, influx the week I sat down to verify the counts, I scrapped her counts and kept the format of the database, so I'm going in and updating the counts set by set. This is also inserting a LOT of cards into the database. I got just a couple ^_^ ![]() |
