Ravnica Block Sealed Event - Guild Wars '08!

Represent your chosen guild from the plane of Ravnica at Guild Wars '08! How?
- Watch for preregistration to begin soon - sign up for $18 and name your guild!
- At the event (date TBD), each player will receive 5 booster packs from the set of their chosen guild: Ravnica (Boros, Selesnia, Golgari, Dimir), Guildpact (Gruul, Izzit, Orzhov), and Dissension (Simic, Rakdos, Azorious). With these, they will build a deck based on their chosen guild.
- Players will compete against other guilds in a variety of formats, from basic round-robin to two-headed giant using their guild decks.
- Prizes will be awarded in each format, with the grand prize going toward the guild with the best average record: a box of their home set (or 10th edition) to split between the guild members!

- Please note, restrictions may be imposed on guild membership such as a minimum or maximum number of members. We'd like to see a diverse representation of guilds at the event.

Awesome what would be even cooler would be to add with the registration like an ID card with the Guild name and like a place for your signature.

Can you be apart of more than one guild.

Hard to say.
For a single registration, I'm going to say no (so no building 2 decks out of the 5 pack draw). However, if you wanted to enter twice, I'd not be opposed, only catches being:
A) You'd have to register and pay twice (once per guild).
B) You'd have to keep card pools separate (so no entering to better your draw options for the two guilds.)
C) You'd only be able to play one guild in one format (IE Gruul in the round robin, Dimir in the Two Headed, but not Gruul in both or Dimir in both)

Also, as an aside, there will need to be a minimum number of registrants for the event. I'm looking at 10 to 12. At that, entry fees would cover product purchased and the grand prize. I'd ideally hope for more.

Awesome Awesome, I just wondering about B) mostly, but okay, I was only going to enter one anyways.

But what about the ID card Idea? Its a good idea to keep guild member aligned and showing pride for your respective guild.

Cards, likely no, but I am thinking guild-stamped buttons, either distributed as a part of entry or for a nominal fee depending on the cost.

I don't like the fact you have to pick a guild beforehand. With my luck I would pick dimir and end up with 5 boros rares/or 5 lightning helix's/awesome stuff I can't use. I would prefer that we could pick our set first and then pick our guild after making our deck. Or even make it a league event and do a section each week instead of playing 20 rounds in a single day.
Ya, my old avy was slowing the boards down...

This is when Nate Oks the trading between the packs, like if you did in fact draft boros, and got dimir, you could trade for boros.
